Larry Gibson featured on CNN Heroes

A great feature on Larry, one of Mountain Top Removal's staunchest opponents, on a major cable network. The mainstream media is really starting to sit up and take notice of what is happening in the Appalachian coalfields.

I've heard Larry Gibson speak several times and I remain impressed with his determination. It's easy for those outside the coalfields to criticize those on the frontlines as obstructionists. Our energy policies are a complex issue, and without people like Gibson, there would be little if any dialogue.

Yay! WV got noticed! And it had nothing to do with the Dancing Outlaw, Springer show guests, Randy Moss, or some random drunk redneck molesting the sheep in a church nativity scene.

w00t!

Seriously, I'm glad someone is starting to take notice that our state has something worth protecting.
